I’m Corey Leavitt. I write systems software and the tools around it, mostly in Rust, Nim, and Python.

This blog is where the longer work ends up: vulnerability writeups, ports to hardware nobody supports anymore, and notes from inside the test engines, parsers, and registries I build in the open. Most of the code is on GitHub .

Most of it is developer infrastructure – tools that check whether other software is correct. For the decade before that I built and ran the data platform at a lithium-ion battery manufacturer and led the team that kept it going, until the company closed in March 2026.
